Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Promotion to Run Through December

On Tuesday, November 22, a Holiday Wreath was hung at the Haywood County Animal Control Facility to kick off this year’s Home for Holidays pet adoption promotion.
Doyle Teague, President of the Board of Directors for Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation hung the wreath this year signifying reduced adoption fees for dogs and cats through December.
Sarge’s and Aidan’s Fund will pay a portion of the fees reducing the price for dogs to $60; $37.50 for female cats and $27.50 for male cats. The fees include all appropriate vaccinations for the animals’ and spay/neutering.

“We hope that our reduced adoption fees will encourage people who are looking for a pet this time of year to look at the shelter first, “said Debbie Poe, chairperson of the promotion. “The majority of animals surrendered to the shelter or turned in as strays are loving, great animals that will make wonderful pets.”
The Haywood County Animal Control Facility is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday; 9:00am until 4:00pm on Saturdays; 12Noon to 4:00pm on Sundays.
During December the shelter will closed Friday, December 23, Sunday and Monday, December 25 and 26.
