Sarge's Annual Meeting on January 14, 2010

Haywood County residents and members of Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation are invited to attend the annual meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2010. The meeting will be held in the Haywood County Library Auditorium and begin at 6:30pm. The library is located at 678 S. Haywood Street in Waynesville.

Refreshments will be served.

Kim Brophey, internationally Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and internationally Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDI-KA) will be the featured speaker. Brophey is the owner of The Dog Door Canine Services(www.dogisreal.com). Brophey was recently awarded the 2009 Association of Pet Dog Trainers Outstanding Trainer of the Year award of which she is a Professional Member. The Association of Pet Dog Trainers is the largest dog trainer member organization in the world. Brophey has a background in animal welfare and rescue and has lectured at local colleges, universities, veterinary hospitals and other animal interest groups. She is one of only four internationally Certified Dog Behavior Consultants in North Carolina.

"We are very fortunate to have Kim speak at our meeting this year," said Rosa Allomong, retiring Board of Directors' President. "She has helped many clients train an unmanageable dog or puppy to assimilate itself back into the family routine and become a beloved pet."

Members will vote for three new Board Members and by law changes. Financial statements will be presented during the meeting as well.
