At this date, live auction contributors are The Jeweler's Workbench, Jo Kelly, Grace Cathey, Balsam Mountain Preserve, Bosu's Wine Shop, Diannah Beauregard, Chef Josh of the Chef's Table, Terry Thompson, Marnette Colborne, Smoky Mountain Dentistry, Home Trust Bank, Connie Hewitt and The Gateway Club. One of the live auction items is on display during the daytime in the window at The Jeweler's Workbench. "Mountain Moonrise" is a custom-made, artistic rendering of The Great Smoky Mountains designed and created by Jeannie Tracy and Pat Bauman of The Jeweler's Workbench. The pendant was fabricated using 14K yellow and white gold, and it features a nearly one-half carat diamond.

Sam and Mandy Tingle are looking for the Animal Party! |
The idea of "Mountain Moonrise" was initially conceived by Tracy with the intent that its sale would somehow benefit Sarge's, a cause very close to her heart. "My two dogs were rescued from an uncertain fate," said Tracy. "If it had not been for organizations such as Sarge's I am certain that my two best friends would not have had the loving, secure home that they now enjoy."
One hundred percent of the auction price of "Mountain Moonrise" will assist Sarge's in obtaining other happy homes for less fortunate animals.
Emcee for the evening is David Tomlin. Auctioneers will be David and Sarah Felmet.
Tickets are $40.00 per person and includes a $10.00 tax deductible donation. Tickets are available in Waynesville at The Jeweler's Workbench, 80 North Main Street; The Nest, 48 North Main Street, Blue Ridge Books & Café, 152 South Main Street and Sarge's Headquarters at 1659 South Main Street. Tickets are also available by calling (828) 246-9050.
