Sarge's Announces Pet Photo Contest Winners

"The judges for the pet photo contest, Beth Brown and Ellen Schattie, had a hard job ahead of them last Monday," said Kristin Moro-Coleman, coordinator of the photo contest. "There were over 100 entries this year and each of the entries was special."
"I was so pleased to be invited to be a judge this year," said Schattie. "Beth and I took our job seriously and really spent a lot of time discussing and looking at each photo."
Brown added "I thoroughly enjoyed viewing and judging the many entries in this year's contest. The photographers did a great job in capturing their pet in various 'posing' situations. It's really heartwarming too when you can see that the owner enjoys spending time with their pet to capture moments as was shown in their images."

Prizes for 1st place and runners up in each category were presented on Saturday, May 16, at Sarge's headquarters. Laura Wooley of Smoky Mountain Logos donated the monogramming of Sarge's logo on the prize-filled tote bags. Beth Brown of Beth Brown photography donated the Best in Show prize of a private photo shoot for the winner and her pet plus a professionally printed 8 ½ x 11 photo. Ellen Schattie, proprietor of Bocelli's Italian Eatery donated two (2) gift certificates for meals at Bocelli's. Prizes in the tote bags also included cat and dog treats, leash/harness combos, safety harnesses, bowls, quilted cat beds and other pet related items.
All photos will be on display until June 13 at Sarge's headquarters at 256B Industrial Park Drive in Waynesville.
