On Saturday, October 18, Springdale Country Club and Resort hosted The Dogs' Day of Autumn, a day of golf with the proceeds designated to benefit Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation.
The total of proceeds from golf and additional donations for the day came to approximately $4,000, far surpassing previous years' totals. Nancy Bulluck, Sarge board member and Springdale employee, expressed appreciation for the Tingle family's support of Sarge's mission. "The Tingles, as well as most other Springdale staff and residents, are very generous in their support of Sarge's and they are very active in animal welfare issues. We are so grateful to all of them for this hugely successful event," said Bulluck.
Bulluck and Angela McGary, another Sarge board member, brought foster dogs to spend the day at the Springdale pro shop. They were assisted by residents Wendy Riggs and George Farling who volunteered their time. Riggs also baked homemade dog biscuits, including one big one that spelled out "Sarge." Springdale staff member Peter Yurko managed the pro shop so Bulluck could concentrate on the Sarge information table.
