Press Release

Saturday, October 20, Eunice Tingle will again host The Dogs' Day of Autumn at Springdale Country Club and Resort in Cruso. This year the day of golf will be dedicated to Springdale's black Labrador Retriever, Sam, who recently passed away. "What better way for me to honor Sam's memory," said Tingle, "than to once again host this event and donate the proceeds to Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation."

For that day only, the cost for greens fee/cart is $40 per person. Springdale will waive its' five-day limit on tee time reservations so that tee times can be requested starting immediately. Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.

Tingle has begun selling raffle tickets at the Springdale pro shop for a 2007 907D1 Titlist Driver with suggested retail value of $399. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Drawing will be held Saturday afternoon, October 20. There will be prizes for "Closest to the Pin," with mulligans available for sale, on two holes of the course.

"Eunice began hosting this event last year to raise money for Sarge's." said Nancy Bulluck, a co-founder of Sarge's and employee at Springdale, "She is very supportive of our mission to end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats in Haywood County. Dog's Day of 2006 raised $2,700 that went into the fund to build our adoption center."
