Happy Tails: Henry

Henry is a beautiful Pomeranian who was adopted by the Scrivener family on 8/2/08. Leslie wrote:

"WE LOVE HIM! He is such an amazing dog, friend and companion. It's hard to believe we've only had him for 3 weeks b/c we can't imagine our lives without him. He is a precious addition to this family and a perfect fit.

Physically he's doing really well - went to the vet 2 weeks ago and he weighed in at 13 pounds - she thought he needed to lose about 1 or 2 pounds, so we are working on that. He also had a bad case of ear mites and a yeast infection in both ears, so we have been using drops 2x a day to treat those. We go in for his recheck tomorrow. Henry is soooo good when we adminster his drops! The vet also took his stitches out and said his neutering wound looked great. The folks at he vet fell in love with him and were amazed at how well behaved he was for them.

Henry is eating well - the vet switched him to Nutro b/c she said the taste of the dry is usually better and will enable us to get him off the canned food altogether. He's still eating a bit of the canned, but less and less. Also, he's almost perfect with his housetraining - has had only one accident and done very little marking (2 times).

Henry has quite a personality - we see more and more of it each day. He LOVES to play with toys and I have gotten him many chew things because he loves those as well. He loves the boys stuffed animals and runs all over the house with them. And he loves ALL people and ALL animals. Our cat is really starting to hang out with Henry now - she's definitely no longer afraid and there's no more hissing and hiding. I don't think she adores him, but she's very comfortable with him now.

Henry goes on our family walks with us every day - he tires out pretty easily so we got him a used stoller from GoodWill - you should see him in that stoller - he's a HOOT and he LOVES to ride! He is definitely our little baby. :)

Henry has been a wonderful companion for all of us - but especially for me now that the boys have gone back to school. He sticks to me like glue, and I LOVE IT. He loves to be held and cuddled and carried around - and we love to hold, cuddle and carry him. He just wants to be wherever we are.

Everyone who meets Henry loves him - the neighbors adore him - he's such a blessing to all! So we just wanted to let you know how well he's doing, and thank you again for letting us be his forever home. We will send a photo of him in the stroller when we take one.

Thanks !

ps....he does NOT bark at all! :) "
