"Strudel is wonderful. The older, bigger dog here has adjusted so well. The cats are still running and Strudel is still chasing, but I'm sure they'll simmer down soon. Strudel sleeps through the night and is learning quickly the process of getting the door open to go outside (ringing a bell hanging on the door). In the meantime I take her out all the time, just in case. I am beginning to make her some of my special home-made food that I used to make for our little dogs who died. (Never thought I'd be doing that again...) Boiled chicken, pumpkin (or sweet potatoes), rice. Also, in addition to regular treats, she gets banana slices and baby carrot slices. Sounds bizarre, but she loves them. We have been to the dog park (in between rains!) and she has a blast there. She even fetched a few times on her own. Alley is having a big time with her too. Lots of running and chasing there. Paul has TOTALLY come around and is enjoying a pup in the house again! In short, she is spoiled rotten and so are we."
