| Rodney was adopted on 8/28/11. He had been overlooked for 7 months while he was in boarding...
once in a loving foster home he blossomed into the dog he was meant to be! Foster mom, Corinne, took him to Mayfel’s in
Asheville Thursday night. After this event, Corinne was walking Rodney and stopped to talk with a young woman, Kristan,
who fell for Rodney’s good looks and good manners. After awhile, he laid down on her feet. She spent about a half hour
talking with Corinne and later filled out an application. Kristan and her boyfriend came to meet Rodney and he
showed them he can sit, down, wait, walk well on a leash and fetch. He also showed them his belly and indicated he might
be able to learn roll over with a few more treats. Rodney had been in boarding for a long time and really needed some
training and attention. The Bakers took him as their foster and made a difficult to adopt dog (black male pit mix) an
adoptable dog. Rodney worked hard during training session with Caitlin and showed us all how smart and fun he is.
Thank you to all who helped make this happen! See how rewarding being a foster parent can be?
Update 11/1/11: "Just wanted to send Hello's from Rodney, Kristan & Chris. We are having so much fun together. He continues to try to sneak in as many licks as possible. Thanks Sarge's."
