"Marcie" is a purebred Airedale Terrier who came into the shelter on Jan 19, lost and disoriented, really behaving as though in shock and nearly immobile. We estimated her to be about five years old and no one came to redeem her. National Airedale Rescue accepted her and picked her up at the shelter immediately. Marcie was barely responsive and seemed to be so emotionally damaged that the rescue volunteer decided to keep her for three weeks, working round the clock to bring the light back to Marcie's eyes before sending her on to her foster home. With new confidence and a new "do", Marcie went directly to her Forever Home on Feb 16, where her Dad works from home and she enjoys life with her brother Airedale, "Guinness".
