Mandy was adopted by Mattie Lou Ashley on 1/26/08. Her granddaughter Susan sent us this message:
"My Grandmother loves little Mandy. She has always made her dogs sleep in a dogbed or crate.... well.... Saturday night as well as last night, she slept in the bed, under the covers with my grandmother. She has only messed up inside once and that was this morning and my Grandmother said it was because it was so cold outside. So we're going to get her some wee-wee pads to use (if she needs them) while it's cold and also a little sweater. My uncle is going to take her to the vet later this week to get her checked out and get some more medicine. She follows my grandmother around; I think because she feels insecure in such a new place. She's had a lot of changes this past month and especially this past week. My other aunt and uncle and a few cousins came over to visit and meet her and she just loved all the attention and wagged her tail. She hasn't barked once and my grandmother likes that. We're going to see her this week-end and I'll send pictures.
Just wanted to let you know how much my grandmother loves her and I never thought that I would live to see the day that my grandmother slept with a dog but it has arrived. It's another success story for rescuing a dog. Thanks so much for taking such good care of her... she's in her forever home!"
