Bear is an 8-year-old Rotty whose owner decided he was too old and ready to be put down. He was delivered to the shelter for that purpose, but a Rotty Rescue near the NC coast made other plans for this gentle soul. Sarge foster volunteers gave Bear a safe haven for about a week and then our transport volunteer drove him 4 hours to NC Rottweiler Rescue. Last time we checked on Bear, he was happy in a foster home in Virginia, loved by all who met him and had several applications pending for his adoption.
Update: Bear was eventually fostered by the owner of a Personal Image in Raleigh. She took him everywhere with her and
eventually adopted him. Here is a photo that Bear was featured in. He was probably 9 years old by then and has to be 10 by now, if still with us.
